When I first started developing flash applications and video games five years ago, I was completely at the whim of online tutorials and guides. I learned absolutely everything about flash and actionscript from online guides written by the general internet and adobe communities. Now that I find myself fairly adept at flash development (not to mention that I’m also fluent in many other programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Perl, Python, using WebDev tools such as WordPress, and employed in the industry), with 12+ flash games under my belt, and contracted work experience, I felt it was time to give back to the community, via creating my own tutorial site dedicated to other flash users and learners just like me.
The Flash Cove is home to a plethora of flash, Actionscript 2, and Actionscript 3 resources. Tutorials cover a broad range of subjects including, but not limited to; flash game development, menu and interface design, general actionscript coding procedures, optimization tips, data driven development, 3rd-party tools, engines, APIs, flash aesthetics, coding math/logic, and advanced flash graphics processing. There’s also the possibility that other language tutorials may pop up on the site as well, but all of that is completely dependent on what the desired content is for flashcove.net, and what you, the readers, prefer.
I’m here to write tutorials that YOU want and need. So if you don’t see something on the site that you would like to see tutorialized, feel free to drop me a line or jot down a comment on the flashcove.net site, I read them all.
Thanks again for taking the time to visit this tutorial site, and I wish you good sailing.
